Free Patriot’s Day Concert & Commemoration Ceremony

Join the community at Centennial Park West on Friday, September 11, 2026, for a special evening honoring the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. The event opens at 5:00 PM before transitioning at 6:30 PM into a formal commemoration ceremony. This solemn program includes the Presentation of the Colors by Veterans Voices, the National Anthem performed by a children's choir, an invocation from a local pastor, a reading of victims' names, a moment of silence and bell toll, and remarks from the Mayor recognizing first responders and service members — all set against live music from the Southwest Community Concert Band, which underscores the ceremony's most meaningful moments from start to finish.

Once the commemoration concludes around 7:00 PM, the mood shifts from remembrance to celebration as the Southwest Community Concert Band takes the stage for a full patriotic concert set, running until approximately 8:00 PM. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and stay for an evening that moves from quiet reflection to hopeful, rousing music — a fitting way to honor the courage of first responders, the resilience of survivors and families, and the unity that has carried our community forward for twenty-five years.
