SWCCB Brass at Vintage Baseball Game

Step back in time for a summer morning of music and old-fashioned baseball in Orland Park on Saturday, July 18, 2026 when the Southwest Community Concert Band Brass Ensemble will provide warm-up entertainment for a vintage baseball game, a style of play that recreates baseball from an earlier era with historic uniforms, equipment, traditional rules, and a nostalgic spirit that recalls the game’s roots. Our brass ensemble will help set the tone for the event before the action begins on the field.

As part of the festivities, the brass quintet will also perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” to kick off the game. It’s a great chance to enjoy live music, community spirit, and a unique look at how America’s pastime was once played. We invite everyone to come early, take in the atmosphere, and enjoy this memorable blend of music and baseball tradition.
