SWCCB Brass Ensemble at Civil War Days

The Southwest Community Concert Band Brass Ensemble will be stepping back in time this fall as part of the Civil War Days Living History at Stellwagen Farm in Orland Park.

On Saturday, October 10, 2026, the ensemble will perform at approximately 3:00 p.m., adding live period-style music to the event, helping bring an extra layer of authenticity to the event.

Music played an important role in military and civilian life during the Civil War era, and brass ensembles were a familiar part of public gatherings, ceremonies, and military activities. Our musicians are pleased to contribute to the atmosphere of the day and help visitors experience the event through music as well as reenactment.
