SWCCB Board of Directors Election Results

The Southwest Community Concert Band held its biennial Board of Directors election during rehearsal on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, with the vast majority of the band’s membership in attendance.

Members reelected Molly Stepansky as Secretary, Carolyn Sparks as Treasurer, and John Trzesniak as President, each serving another two-year term.

The band also elected Cindy Neumann as its new Vice President. Cindy brings significant experience to the Board through her work managing administrative, logistical, and library operations for the Naperville Municipal Band in Naperville, Illinois. Her experience supporting the operations of a successful community music organization will be a valuable addition to the SWCCB leadership team.

Cindy succeeds Nancy Brandt, who chose not to seek another term as Vice President. The band extends its sincere thanks again to Nancy for her two years of service on the Board and for her contributions to the organization.

And a big thank you to President Emeritus of the band, Jim Valtman, for taking the band through the election process!

The newly elected Board looks forward to the next two years of performances, community events, organizational planning, and new opportunities to strengthen the band while continuing to build a strong foundation for its long-term future.
