Come celebrate the season with the Southwest Community Concert Band — and help us share a little holiday spirit with the community!

Join the Southwest Community Concert Band for our “Home for the Holidays” Annual Christmas Concert & Food Drive, a cherished seasonal tradition filled with festive music, warmth, and community spirit. This special evening celebrates the joy of Christmas through a program of beloved holiday favorites and uplifting selections that capture the beauty, nostalgia, and excitement of the season. It is a chance for families, friends, and neighbors to come together, slow down for a little while, and enjoy the kind of music that makes the holidays feel memorable and bright.

This concert is also about more than music. As part of our annual Home for the Holidays Food Drive, we’ll once again be collecting food to help support local families and community members during the holiday season. We encourage everyone attending to bring a nonperishable food donation if they are able.

This event benefits the New Lenox Township Food Pantry, which serves local individuals and families in need during a time of year when support can make an especially meaningful difference. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring canned goods or boxed dry food items to be donated to the pantry. In addition, a suggested free will offering of $10 per person is appreciated. This is truly a free will offering, and all are welcome to attend regardless of ability to give. Every contribution, whether through a food donation, a financial gift, or simply your presence, helps strengthen the spirit of care and generosity that this event is meant to inspire.

Home for the Holidays is more than a concert. It is an evening that reflects what the season is meant to be about: celebration, gratitude, kindness, and community. Through music and giving, we hope to create an experience that is both heartwarming and meaningful—one that leaves our audience inspired not only by the sounds of the season, but also by the shared effort to help neighbors in need.
